Step by step guide to add meta description tag on your WordPress website without any plugin and improve website ranking
The purpose of a meta description for your page is to get someone searching on Google to click your link. The meta description tag in HTML is the around 160 character snippet used to summarize a web page’s content. They are between one sentence to a short paragraph and appear underneath the blue clickable links in a search engine results page (SERP). However, depending on a user’s query, Google might pull meta description text from other areas on your page (in an attempt to better answer the searcher’s query).
